I'm a girl from a small midwest town. I really have no life, but I love my friends, and have lots of passions. By nature I am shy, but here I can express myself. I know I'm weird and crazy and confusing, but oh well...

Then click here and check for updates ;) Went to a beach in Voulas today. It was nice and clean with pretty blue green water and even though it was cold I went swimming anyway. There were so many good looking guys that were either taken or didn’t talk to me that I wanted to cry especially since I don’t speak Greek anyways and I wish I could. And then I had kayo. It was this Greek frozen yogurt and it was heaven in my mouth. Vanilla with strawberries and dark chocolate. It may have just surpassed baklava as my favorite Greek desert it was that good. Delphi, Temple of Apollo, museum Wanna see what I’m doing on my trip? Then click here and check for updates ;) Today we did so much and I am completely exhausted. we started with a drive out to Cape Sounion. It was GORGEOUS. The water there is more of a blue /green /turquoise and the water is so clean and clear that you could see all the way to the bottom even from the cliff road we were on. The temple of Poseidon there was quite impressive, especially since it outdates the acropolis in Athens, it’s made of only marble and lead, and it’s still in relatively good condition. The view was amazing, and my only complaint is that it was so windy that I got pelted with dirt and rocks and nearly got blown off the cliff (or so I thought) we then made our way into the heart of Athens, where we visited the Olympic stadium. Next was the acropolis -the temple of Athena Nike and the Parthenon - but from there we could see several other sites. I saw a temple of Hephaestus as well as Mars Hill, which is the place where Paul preached while in Athens. I wish I could have climbed up there like I saw some people doing because that might just have made my life. Though I did find out that Glyfada where I’m staying is actually the first place that Paul went to in Greece (though that’s not what it was called back then) I wish we had more time in the acropolis museum because there was too much to see for the 40 minutes we were allotted. I also did more shopping, but this time in the Plaka district in the heart of Athens. I got myself a pair of nice Greek sandals and some surprise purchases for my friends ;). On the way back we saw the temple of Zeus and Hadrian’s arch. The tram was quite an experience. (There were these two cute guys that rode almost the whole way with us and gave up their seats for an older woman and yes chivalry is awesome and a total turn on. And other good looking males getting on and off. Yes) Sadly, due to the elections tomorrow, we wont be allowed to go into the city. We have to stay in glyfada so I think we might go to the beach (where I can get sunburned for the 3rd day in a row otl) but it might be nice to relax after today’s grueling itenerary. More tours. Olympic Stadium, the Acropolis, the Parthenon, Temple of Athena, museums Wanna see what I’m doing on my trip? Then click here and check for updates ;) Ok so I didn’t do the things we were supposed to do today because our itenerary changed due to their elections on Sunday. So we rested a bit to recover from the planes. Then we went walking and window shopping on out way to the beach. All sorts of cute guys here, but sadly most of them were with girls. I also got creeper on by an old fat guy in a speedo. (And though I know I don’t really look good in a bikini I think he was checking me out because… well I’ll just leave it at I was very disturbed. Some things people shouldn’t wear in public, especially if they’re creepy perverted old men) but the water is such a pretty deep grey / blue color and it felt so good in the heat. Showering was interesting because the whole bathroom is about the size of my closet, if not smaller. Dinner was amazing. I think I could eat like that all the time. Veggies, bread, potatoes, very little meat - that’s like perfect. Maybe with all this healthy food, water, heat, and walking I’ll get lucky and lose a few pounds. Then I’ll look good in my bikini for those Greek boys ;) lol. We went walking around and supping after dinner but I won’t divulge my purchases here because I want to surprise my friends. Tomorrow I have sort of an early morning and a long day of touring. Cape Sounion, temple of poseidon, touring the city of Athens, the acropolis and parthenon, and the national gardens. And quite likely more shopping. :) Arriving around 930 am and taking some sort of a walking tour of the city. Plaka District and The Temple of Zeus Wanna see what I’m doing on my trip? Then click here and check for updates ;) So I made it to Athens and it’s gorgeous here. Obviously I found wifi so I get to update :D Yep, all day on planes. First flight leaves at 550 am.
